Bennett Savitz was also the Chair for a series of Immigration Law seminars sponsored by Massachusetts Continuing Legal Education. Additionally, he was the editor of their two-volume reference set entitled, Immigration Law Primer. He is currently teaching Business Immigration Law at New England Law School.
Bennett Savitz graduated cum laude from the University of California at San Diego in 1990 with a degree in Political Science. He received both his M.A. in International Relations and his J.D. from Boston University in 1993, where he graduated as an Edward F. Hennessey Scholar.

Sonia Savariego Silverman, Of Counsel

Before entering the field of immigration law, Sonia Savariego Silverman was an Assistant State Attorney for the State Attorney’s Office in Volusia and Leon counties in Florida. In this capacity, Sonia Savariego Silverman litigated juvenile, misdemeanor, and traffic-related offenses, and was promoted to be the Lead Juvenile Assistant State Attorney for the Daytona Beach office.
Since 1995, Sonia Savariego Silverman has been an active member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association.
Sonia Savariego Silverman speaks and writes about various aspects of immigration law. For example, she has been a guest speaker at The Immigrant Learning Center and Kaplan Educational Center, as well as appeared on the cable television program, Vision, and Radio Union. In addition, Sonia Savariego Silverman has written a number of immigration advisories for the law firms she has been associated with.
Sonia Savariego Silverman attended Florida International University on a full four-year scholarship and graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Social Studies Education in 1990. She was a National and University Deans List Award recipient and graduated with honors. Sonia Savariego Silverman received her J.D. law degree from Florida State University in 1993, and during this time, she was awarded an international law fellowship to study international law in what was at the time Yugoslavia.
Sonia Savariego Silverman is the daughter of an immigrant from Cuba who became a medical doctor, was raised in San Juan, Puerto Rico, Valencia, Spain, and Miami, Florida with her Cuban American family, and is consequently fluent in Spanish. When not working to help her clients with their immigration needs, Sonia Savariego Silverman enjoys going to the gym, dancing, traveling and spending time with her friends, family, teenage children, and spouse of over twenty years.
